March 4, 2011 is a day of peace.
I found the link on Facebook: a day of peace. For twenty-four hours we try our hardest to be kind to one another. A day of peace reminds me of growing up in the sixties and seventies. I was young but we all walked around saying “Peace, Love and Happiness!” and of course flashing the peace sign. I always loved this. No matter what was going on around us we hoped for better things, for better times. We had hope that we, as people, could rise above the situations storming around us and accomplish great things together. Seeing this link on my Facebook profile reminded me of that. People haven’t completely given up. Maybe it’s time for all of us to stand up again and wish Peace out into the world. I think this creates more change than anger. It creates bonds, repairs and restores people to one another. This thinking may be naive, maybe it always was, but I don’t care.
On this day of Peace and for every day that will come, I wish you Peace, Love and Happiness!
Hope you join in!
