YOU ARE STARDUST.
Do you ever look into the night sky, when it’s so clear you can practically see every sparkling star in the universe?
Then you’ve glimpsed all you are capable of with your writing.
DON’T BE AFRAID TO SHINE.

Write what you want to write. Write what you don’t want to write. Write for a minute or an hour, but sit down and write. Write everyday. It’s the only way anything will get written.
Now go write.
p.s. a reminder that Single Step 365 is a way for me to focus on writing everyday. So far, I’ve picked up a rough draft and started editing. These posts are working for me…

GET TO THE POINT.
As writers, we want to include every detail and explanation in our WIP. Don’t.
Show don’t tell, unless that is your intention. Sometimes it’s ok.
Tighten up your writing. Be mindful of your goal.
Active vs. Passive. There is a time and place for using passive. Use passive voice to enhance subtle suggestions and ideas, and/or convey emotion. Use active to keep the narrative concise and moving plot forward.
